“A shopper’s paradise in our
historic old store,
supplied by more than 300 local
Amish and Mennonite craftspersons!”

The Old Country Store is truly an old historic country store. Thousands of locally handcrafted items in many shapes, sizes, colors, and textures fill our store with a lively atmosphere which celebrates creativity.

Take your time and enjoy!

Our Amish and Mennonite craftspersons cherish this marriage of beauty and function. They too shop in the same store as you who come to discover their
creations. From their homes to your home!

The Old Country Store features locally made crafts rather than items from nationally manufactured gift lines. Our emphasis is to support local craftspersons, most of them Amish and Mennonites.
One of the 10 best quilt shops in the United States.”

We try to have the best quilts at the lowest prices. How? To support our quilters, we add very little mark-up to the price. In that way we can sell a greater volume—which is a benefit to everyone including our customers!

The Old Country Store is famous for its great fabric selection, its low prices, its pre-cut color-coordinated Fabric Packs, and our helpful staff.

Our historic building's second floor houses one of the most exquisite quilt museums in North America. The People's Place Quilt Museum features a new show each year, specializing in antique (pre-1940) Amish and Mennonite quilts.

Visitors enjoy the Story Walk on the west side of our store. It tells the story of the store, the village, and the area.
