Upcoming Class
In this three-session class, students will explore two distinct quilting techniques—each taught in its own dedicated class—so learning feels intentional, manageable, and confidence-building. We’ll begin with precision piecing using the Holiday Trees pattern from Laundry Basket Quilts, focusing on accurate cutting, clean seams, and thoughtful color placement to create a balanced, timeless tree layout. Before leaving the first session, students will also learn how to thoughtfully select fabrics for a scrappy appliqué centerpiece. In the second class, we’ll shift gears and dive fully into scrappy appliqué,
preparing fabrics and constructing a bear motif using a pattern from Scrappy Appliqué Company. The final session brings everything together as we position and stitch the bear onto the finished tree quilt top, discuss finishing options.
Designed for confident beginners through intermediate quilters, this class intentionally separates techniques so students aren’t overwhelmed—and leave with the skills, understanding, and confidence to recreate both techniques again at home. This is a rare opportunity to learn two powerful methods in one cohesive, beautifully paced project.
This class will be held on Thursdays, June 18th, July 16th, and August 20th. Using the link below will register you for all three sessions.
