Underground Railroad Sampler

Upcoming Class

The Underground Road was a network of people, buildings, and escape routes that helped to lead slaves to freedom in the Northern United States and Canada. It is estimated that as many as 100,000 slaves escaped on the Underground Railroad. The exact number is not known due to the secret nature of the operation.

In this block of the month series, you will make 12 of the blocks in the Underground Railroad Sampler by Eleanor Burns of Quilt in a Day. Some of the blocks will be made following the directions in the book. Others will be simplified using Studio 180 Design tools. You will also receive tips on how to set the blocks with sashing and cornerstones.
