This class is perfect for anyone using a long arm on a frame who wants hands-on experience with rulers. If you’re curious about rulerwork but find it intimidating, this session will help you get comfortable by experimenting with a variety of ruler brands, shapes, and sizes—all in one workshop!
During this 3-hour interactive class, you will:
• Discover the basic guidelines for quilting with rulers on a long arm machine
• Build confidence, practicing beginner skills with simple rulers
• Pick up tips to use rulers more efficiently
• Explore and try out a range of brands and ruler shapes including:
BERNINA’s line of rulers for borders, curves & clams, & essentials
Amanda Murphy’s “Good Measure” Rulers
Angela Walters’ Line of rulers from Creative Grids
As well as a few others
Students will need to bring their own snips for cutting thread, and a notebook.
This class will be held on the second floor of The Old Country Store.
